Me and Marley by the Bay

Happiness is a Warm Puppy

More photos of my baby, Marley. Just a side note: I have the utmost respect for all the single moms (of human children) in the world. I DON'T know how you do it!

Looking for his uncle, Chicken Pot Pie, at my mom's house...

...and playing with Chickie once he's found him.

This is just a great shot of his handsome ears.

The Bay at Sunset

What else can I say about Pensacola that this photo doesn't say?

Sunflowers in Atmore

Bolling, Alabama, October 2006

Images of my "roots" in Bolling, Alabama

The first little church I fell in love with--Bolling Methodist Church. My granddad was the youth leader here before people got paid to do that sort of thing.

The old grist mill still stands across the highway from what used to be my great grandmother's Shell filling station.

The road goes on forever and the party never ends! (U.S. Highway 31 in front of the house where Mom was born)

I've never lived where I couldn't hear the train whistle blow. This crossing is one of two near Bolling.

New York City July 2006

The Statue of Liberty was my favorite part of our trip to NYC. Makes a person feel blessed.

Ground Zero: remains of World Trade Center towers.

I've wanted to see this since I was in 7th grade...the Guggenheim! It was worth the wait.

Speaking of being worth the wait...the view from the 87th floor of the Empire State Building at 1:00 a.m.

I fell in love with the Subway while I was there. There's something so romantic in the heat and wind and hurry of it all. What a wonderful experience!
